On August 28th we celebrated the commemoration of St. Augustine of Hippo (AD 354 - 430) celebrated.

We Rita sisters belong to the Augustinian order.

Our father Augustine was initially a speaker at the Roman imperial court, after his conversion to Christianity he became a bishop and doctor of the church. Throughout his life, he searched for God, along with others who lived in fellowship with him. Letting God touch you together in silence, is what Augustine preached. One of his most instructive sentences was: "God speaks to us in the great stillness of the heart".

In his sermon at the festive service, Pastor Beck recalled the importance of St. Augustine for the Catholic but also for the Protestant Church.

The Augustine Festival 2022 was rounded off by a subsequent reception and lunch together.
