Saturday, May 11th, 2019 was a great day of rejoicing and thanksgiving for our community in Racine and the entire community of the Sisters of St. Rita.
Sr. Jana Anne made her First Profession of Vows before God and the Superior General Sr. Rita Maria Käs. She committed herself for three years to the community and promised to follow Jesus together with us according to the Rule of St. Augustine and our Constitutions.
This celebration was held at St. Rita Parish in Racine. Many of our Augustinian brothers, St. Rita Maria, Sr. Teresa, our novice Sr. Katharina Elisabeth from Germany, her Sisters from the Racine community, colleagues from her workplace, St. Monica’s Senior Living, as well as many friends and acquaintances attended.
Fr. Gary Sanders, Provincial of the West Augustinians was the celebrant. After making her Profession, Sr. Jana Anne signed her Profession document at the altar and handed it over to Sr. Rita Maria.
It was truly a day of joy and we thank Sr. Jana Anne for her Yes to follow God’s call.
