Convent Retreat

From February 27 to March 3, we sisters spent a Retreat together. Sr. Teresa Reulbach's impulses focused on the Evangelical Counsels of Obedience, Community of Goods and Consecrated Celibacy in the Augustinian understanding. She used the talks by Fr. Dr. Christian Rentsch OSA, which he had given during the preparatory days for the General Chapter in the Motherhouse in Würzburg, Germany.

In Racine, we Sisters of St. Rita live and work in one Convent with Holy Spirit Sisters from India. Since the retreat took place in our own house, the agenda was changed. Two Indian sisters, who will be able to take part in a retreat in their home country this year, took over the daily services so that the others were really free for silence and an encounter with God.
The verbal impulses were supported by symbols and the special way the prayer times were held. Each day ended in the Chapel with the “Prayer of Loving Attention” according to Ignatius of Loyola.
